Comics has always been an appealing and attractive topic for different people. Many characters in the comics are beautifully illustrated by intelligent artists and two of the oldest and the most iconic fictional characters are Batman and Superman from DC comics.
Batman is a human being which owns Wayne Enterprises company. He is a billionaire, an industrialist and a philanthropist and he lives in Gotham City. Witnessing the deaths of his parents as a child, he swore to take revenge on criminals and pursue the ideal of justice. Wayne trains himself physically and intellectually and even makes a bat-themed outfit to disguise himself. His assistants are Robin, butler Alfred Pennyworth, Commissioner of Police James Gordon. The enemies of Batman include the Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy or Deathstroke. Unlike most superheroes, he doesn't have any super powers. However, this hero uses his genius in science, wealth, physical strength, martial arts skills, and especially spend lots of money strengthening his technological suit. He is an indomitable person and a symbol of justice in Gotham city.
On the other hand, Superman is an extraterrestrial named Kal-El. He was born in Krypton and was sent to the Earth by his father, Jor-El. He did that to saves Superman from the explosion of his planet. Upon reaching the earth, the child was found and adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent, a farmer couple in Kansas. They name it Clark Kent. From an early age, Clark Kent gradually revealed extraordinary superpowers. He can shoot laser from eyes, fly with full speed and has an ability to identify villains with X-ray vision. As an adult, he went to Metropolis as a reporter for the Daily Planet newspaper editor and used his special abilities to fight against genocide in the name of Superman. His eternal enemies are Lex Luthor on Earth and Darkseid from the universe. Despite his amazing powers, Superman is vulnerable to Kryptonite, which is a radioactive component originated from Krypton. The sun’s radiation serves as an energy beginning for Superman. As a close ally of Batman, Superman is considered a typical member of the Justice League.
There are similarities between these two super heroes. No matter how strong their enemies are, they will manage to deal with the villains and become the spotlight of the society. Likewise, they both have a tough childhood due to the death of their parents. Another similarity is they both disguise themselves as normal people and when perfect times come, they quickly turn into heroes to stop crimes. They are extremely muscular, heroic, and last but not least, they are willing to sacrifice for a better world.
