Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City are the two most famous cities of Vietnam and they also are the capital of Viet Nam . Both Cities have some similarities, despite both cities are somewhat far from each other . But because they are far from each other so there are also some differences between these two cities.
Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City are two of the biggest cities in Viet Nam. Both of them are important cultural and economic centers. Ha Noi, the capital of the country, is considered as the cultural and politic center because of its historic tradition. Yearly, there are lots of festivals and summit conferences organized here. Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest commercial center of Viet Nam. It attracted many investments from foreign countries. Both Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City keep an important role in the economy of the country. Furthermore, people in both cities are very friendly. Most foreign visitors traveling to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City love people here. And one more similarity is that Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City have lots of famous landscapes. Anyone who used to visit Ha Noi would not forget the famous places such as Hoan Kiem Lake and Ho Chi Minh President's Temple. Like Ha Noi, many famous places like Nha Rong Habour, Landmark 81, ... are located in Ho Chi Minh City.
The city of Hanoi is associated with the ancient beauty of Vietnam that is well preserved since the independence of it from the French, along with the old Vietnamese cultures. This has brought to the people of Hanoi a lifestyle that is at a slower pace, compared to those of other major urban cities. The pace of Hanoi lifestyle has lead to other uniqueness of it. For example, people in Hanoi could have family, home-cooked meals every day. Nowadays, the old buildings of Hanoi like the temples and natural landscapes are Hanoi’s important tourist attractions. More on the buildings of Hanoi, there are casual bars and casual markets. The people of Hanoi have the standard Vietnamese accent; while in many other regions of Vietnam exist a local accent that has different words and non-standard pronunciations. Looking at Hanoi in a more geographical perspective, it’s located in the Northern part of Vietnam. It has the wet tropical monsoon climate, bringing it the allegedly four seasons, although spring and autumn in Hanoi is geographically just a transition between summer and winter.
Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is located in the southeastern region of Vietnam. The city has a tropical climate with an average humidity of 78–82%. The year is divided into two distinct seasons: The rainy season and the dry season. The average temperature is 28 °C, and the highest temperature recorded was 40 °C. Different from Hanoi's ancient beauty, Saigon has the beauty of urban, with modern and attractive landscapes. For example, Landmark 81 and Bitexco Financial Tower. Because of the fast lifestyle, Ho Chi Minh City always busy and crowded. If you like Western style, Ho Chi Minh City will be the best place to visit in Vietnam. It has more shopping malls, nightclubs and rooftop bars than any other city. It also has a variety of hotels for you to choose from. Ho Chi Minh City is the food capital of Vietnam, where travelers can enjoy not only authentic French and Vietnamese delicacies, but also expat-owned bistros serving Japanese, Chinese, Mediterranean and American fare. While Ho Chi Minh City has seen rapid urbanization throughout the years, it’s still home to plenty of colonial buildings, war museums and historic remnants of the Vietnam War. Travelers can visit the Central Post Office, Ho Chi Minh Square, War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace in the city center, while the Cu Chi Tunnels are a 40-minute drive away.
